We’re so excited to announce the arrival of these sweet fur-babes to New Hampshire! It’s been quite a journey for all of us, and we’re thrilled to see these beautiful babes in the “home”-stretch, one step closer to their forever families!
Many of you will recognize a few of them from our previous posts. FRESCO… look at him now! What an amazing recovery. He is the happiest, goofiest, most affectionate boy ever. And what about NELLY? She’s the one who lost her own pups during Hurricane Maria, and became a surrogate momma to Mumu and Milly. Sadly, Mumu and Milly’s biological mom lost her life while giving birth to them. MUMU was on this transport with Nelly, and we are expecting to bring Milly to New Hampshire next month.
In addition to these wonderful dogs who Hearts and Tails found and rescued, we also brought LUCY and MICAH. With each trip to PR, we spend time in the shelters and inevitably fall in love with a few who just stand or from the crowd. Lucy and Micah were the lucky ones who made this particular trip. Lucy was adopted from the Humane Society for Greater Nashua (HSFN) almost immediately after the mandatory quarantine, and Mumu was adopted shortly thereafter. The others are now getting comfortable at HSFN, where their amazing staff are taking great care of them.
We are very grateful to Adri from Los Amigos De Los Animales in Puerto Rico, for taking these dogs in and giving them the care and love they needed until they were ready to travel. And to the folks at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, for accepting them and working to help them find their fur-ever homes!
