A New Chapter for Elton: Adopted and Adored!

After almost THREE years in a shelter environment… our sweet boy is finally home.

To know Elton is to fall head over heels. He’s the kind of dog who greets you like an old friend, hops into the car like it’s his personal limo, and treasures every game of fetch like it’s the best moment of his life. He gave us nothing but love, and now, he’s getting it back in spades!

Cue the happy tears, because this is the kind of news that fills your heart to the brim. Our beloved Elton, the goofy, gentle, ball-chasing cuddlebug, has officially been ADOPTED!

For nearly three years, Elton waited. Through the noise of the shelter, through the ups and downs, he waited with patience, grace, and an unshakable joy that lit up every room he entered. Rescued in heartbreaking condition with his buddy Elvis – heartworm positive, malnourished, dirty, and covered in fleas… Elton has come so far. And somehow, even after all he’d been through, he never stopped believing that his family was out there.

And now, at long last… they found each other! We are eternally grateful to his new family Tiffany Driggers and Eric Driggers, as well as his new canine sister, Lucy, for welcoming him into their hearts and home!

Elton captured hearts from South Carolina to New Hampshire. Despite a rough start – rescued with his best buddy Elvis in desperate need of care, Elton never let his spirit be dimmed. Through it all, he remained affectionate, gentle, and full of hope.

So let’s raise a glass (or pup cup) to Elton:

• To belly rubs and soft beds…

• To long walks and longer naps…

• To love that he never knew…

• To forever.

Note to Elton’s new family: THANK YOU. Thank you for seeing the light in his eyes. For choosing love, loyalty, and a little bit of mischief. You’ve made one very special dog’s dreams come true (and ours too)!

Special thanks:

To Sherri Birrell, without who’s love and dedication, Elton would have surely perished. Sherri coordinated the rescue for both Elton and Elvis in SC, then sheltered Elvis for over a year, and Elton for TWO years!

And to Meg Donohue for fostering Elton for several months in NH, giving him an abundance of love, and a much needed break from shelter life.

HAPPY LIFE sweet Elton. We love you, and you will always have a piece of our hearts. 💜
